Exciting Times Ahead

As of Friday 3rd March 2015 you may have seen Ga Chun’s announcement that I have joined his team in order to assist in his photography endeavours and as an Editor on this website. I have been very impressed with the work that he has done so far and he has built up an amazing portfolio in the short time that he has been pursuing his career and interest in cosplay photography. So it was an honour when Ga Chun turned and asked if I wanted to help out in an official capacity, I jumped at the chance and we have had many progressive discussions in recent weeks on how to expand on the incredible work he has already done.

“So how what can you offer? We like Ga Chun’s work just the way it is.” I hear you ask. Well, I’m no photographer but I will be helping organise shoots, acting as a secondary contact before, during, and after cons to deal with any questions or concerns you may have and helping you locate us for your booked shoot on the day. As to what I’ll be offering is expanding on the work Ga Chun already does. Utilising my previous experience within the convention scene (I was part of the original Alcon committee in 2007-2010) and contacts within the community we will be aiming to provide a lot more content featuring the work of both experienced and brand new cosplayers, talking to them and getting an insight on the massive amounts of hard work and determination they have put in to creating their impressive costumes and props that they make which, let’s be honest, are marvellous works of art. We will also be writing up and reviewing the cons that we will be attending up and down the width and breadth of the country and hopefully providing more insightful articles than a certain “news” publication *cough*The Daily Star*cough*

There are plenty of other ideas in the pipeline but we don’t want to give too much away and also we don’t want to get too carried away. There is a lot of work to be put in and we hope to meet your expectations and create a place where we can all come together to share and appreciate the things that we love.

In conclusion, my name is Warren Fairbairn, lovely to meet you all and I am thrilled to be working with Ga and all of you. Here’s to a bright future and exciting times ahead.
