This weekend just gone, I went to visit the Business Design Centre in Islington for the London Lens Show which was organised by Wex Photographic. I managed to capture a few snaps, try out some gear and gain some insightful and inspirational knowledge on photography. It was the first ever time visiting the Business Design Centre and when I first got into the building, it reminded me of Olympia. The area actually used was a small area with exhibitors based on the ground floor and the first floor, and with seminars held in the near by rooms on the far north west of the area. There were quite a wide range of companies that were there, from Sony to Olympus, Fujifilm, Manfretto, Dji, Fixation, Wacom, Atomos, Canon, Nikon, Tamron, Sigma and the list goes on. I had quite an enjoyable experience, unexpectedly bumping into my friend Liz who works for Fujifilm and it was great hearing Keith Bernstein speak at his seminar – “Sony Ambassador Keith Bernstein joins us to talk about the unforeseen and totally unpredictable journey that led to him working with Clint Eastwood. More than 20 years spent as a photojournalist were to have a direct impact on Keith’s photographic career, and led him to become Clint’s film stills photographer for his last seven movies with another planned for 2017. ” I shall definitely consider going to this again next year and other photography related shows. It was quite a different scene compared to just going to the typical comic con conventions.
